David is calm, really encouraging and patient. Listens to you with what areas you want to improve and offers lots of nutrition advice, he has every session planned out and will often give options on a few of the exercises throughout the sessions (which really helps me stay engaged), he will also help you out with anything during the week if you need him.
Overall, David is an excellent PT, the experiences I have had so far have been exactly what I wanted when I first set out and I plan to continue with my session for the foreseeable future with a half Marathon as my next goal. My wedding dress fit perfectly and I had so many compliments on the way my dress fit.

“I signed up with E3 fitness in November last year, after several years of unsuccessfully trying to motivate myself to follow a fitness routine at a different local gym. I had recently been diagnosed with a chronic illness that had impacted my health and fitness levels, and the ability to have either private, or semi-private personal training at E3 seemed like exactly the thing I needed to get back on track. The benefits of being able to rely on the knowledge of a personal trainer are too numerous to mention, but 10 months later I’m still there. The training studio is a relaxed, non-judgemental space, where the E3 team will be able to talk you through the whole process. “Before I started with David as my personal trainer I used to go to the gym, have little to no plan, and feel disappointed with the lack of results that I’d been achieving on my own. My motivation dropped and I started to talk myself out of going. I approached David after seeing him training others in the gym and after a quick chat, I was quickly aware that he was incredibly knowledgeable and would be the best option for me to achieve my goals. “I’d spent quite a long time thinking about getting a personal trainer and the moment I met David I knew he was the one to pick for my temperament. I said to him a) I don’t like military style fitness (no shouting at me), b) I don’t want someone who just stands and talks to me whilst I use the machines, I needed help with the ‘big weights’ and c) I get bored easily so don’t want to know what’s coming next so mix it up. My aim was to become fitter and stronger. He absolutely listened to that and pitched his sessions perfectly.
I trained with him for two years and I am much fitter and stronger than I was. I lifted weights I never thought I’d lift (what a buzz that is) and got back to doing press ups which was on my tick list: I can now do 30 proper press ups in units of ten! My personal best for holding plank went up to an incredible (for me) three minutes.
David is a gentleman, there was no locker style banter and he kept a professional but friendly distance, which I appreciated. He is knowledgeable and kind but he will push you - but never in a scary, adversarial way. He can adapt exercises in a heartbeat to take into account how you’re feeling that day. I never once dreaded a session with him and we had some fantastic conversations about muscles and bio-mechanics and what we ate for breakfast that day!”

“I started personal training with David at the beginning of March as I had lost all my confidence in the gym and lost all motivation. “After having my first child and gaining a fair bit of weight through pregnancy - about 4 and a half stone! I was unhappy about how unhealthy and unfit I felt and looked. I decided that i needed to make some changes. I didnt necessarily have a target weight, i just wanted to feel more confident in wearing clothes that pre pregnancy i felt good in.
I started off well doing gym classes and eating healthier but felt i had plateaud and needed that extra push to get through the hardest part. After seeing a post David put on facebook and winning a free PT session with him i then booked another 11 sessions. One session a week over 12 weeks.
Having never had PT before i was hoping some one to one training would really help me towards my goal - I was confident to go to classes but pretty clueless when it came to using the gym and how to use the equipment correctly.
